Alyssa, Program Facilitator

Alyssa is a mom of four who loves to share her flair for drama, song and creativity with young and old alike. You will usually find her leading one of the best circle times in town, every Saturday.

Gigi, Program Facilitator

Gigi is a grandmother and family favourite who is always ready with a warm smile and hug to greet members. Her favourite activities are leading circle time, singing songs and performing felt stories.

Maria, Program Facilitator

Maria is a devoted mother and daughter who received her ECE training and experience in her native Manitoba.

Monique Carlos

Monique is a Certified Early Childhood and Infant Toddler Educator. She also works part time as a college instructor, manages an after-school educational program, and facilitated workshops for Early Childhood Educators. She has a Master’s in Counselling Psychology and is currently working on a second Master’s program for Marriage and Family Therapy. She is passionate about working with families and children and loves being a part of the SFP Family.

Donna Mui, President

Donna is a mom of two awesome children in primary school. They loved spending time at SFP when the children were younger and she says it’s an honour to be able to give back. She’s recently trained to be an education assistant and is looking forward to being able to positively impact children in that capacity.

Wendy Clendenin

Wendy is the longest-serving member of the Board, and also a former President for many years. Her history with SFP dates back nearly two decades, when she and her young children first started meeting with other like-minded parents who arranged a shared space, toys and supplies. Since then, Wendy has continued to be one of a handful of dedicated volunteers leading the development of SFP into a professional, funded and stable organization providing programs and services to her community. Now, with fully grown teen children, Wendy continues to serve on the Board and remains committed to supporting local families and children. Wendy was recognized as SFP’s 2019 Outstanding Volunteer.

Stella Jiang

Stella and her two wonderful children fell in love with SFP when they first walked through the door. The warm hugs, kind smiles, and caring chats from staff and fellow parents during drop-in have kept her going to this day. Stella is a registered nurse and acupuncturist who joined the board to help spread SFP’s positive energy with other busy parents in the community. For Stella, every day is Mother’s Day at SFP.

Lucy Lin

Lucy is a single mother of a three-year old who found a sense of community and support in SFP and began to help out with routine board activities. She is also currently an accountant at Gramercy Developments Ltd. a local construction and development company in South Surrey. During her spare time, Lucy is an avid moviegoer, TV series follower and a weekend hiker. She also enjoys cooking which included baking cupcakes for last year’s Valentine’s Day bake sale. It is important for Lucy to be a part of a local community where she could be of service to fellow new-parents and single parents alike. Support is a key in building a welcoming community.
